The configurations in the Talents category affect the punching of meals, breaks and manual time entries. They apply to the punch section of the Home page and to the punch screen. For more information on the punch screen, see the Punch screen page.
Note: the page must be refreshed for the new configurations to take effect.
Default dinner time #
Sets the duration, in minutes, proposed by default on the Meal button. The talent can always choose another duration in the button’s menu before punching their meal.
- On the punch screen, where the talent identifies with their PIN, this duration is the one shown on the Meal button, for every talent.
- For a user signed in to ALIX with their talent, the proposed duration is the lunch time set on their shift. This configuration applies only if the shift does not define one.
Note: this field cannot be left empty. If you clear the value, the previous value is restored.
- In Settings, go to the Settings section, Configurations, and then Talents.
- Enter the desired number of minutes (from 1 to 60) in the Default dinner time configuration. The change is saved automatically.
Default break time #
Sets the duration, in minutes, proposed by default on the Break button. The talent can always choose another duration in the button’s menu before punching their break.
- On the punch screen, where the talent identifies with their PIN, this duration is the one shown on the Break button, for every talent.
- For a user signed in to ALIX with their talent, the proposed duration is the break time set on their shift. This configuration applies only if the shift does not define one.

- Enter the desired number of minutes (from 1 to 60) in the Default break time configuration. The change is saved automatically.
Enable manual punch entry #
When this configuration is enabled, the Manual entry button is shown on the punch screen, under the punch buttons. The same button, represented by a + icon, is added to the punch section of the Home page. When it is disabled, the button does not appear anywhere.
This button opens the Adjust employee hours window for the identified talent, in which a time entry can be added manually. On the punch screen, the talent enters their PIN first.
- In Settings, go to the Settings section, Configurations, and then Talents.
- Enable the Enable manual punch entry toggle.
