In ALIX, there are three inventory management types :
- Quantity and value
- Quantity only
- Not managed
The choice of inventory management type is made when creating the item and is final, except for the Not managed type, which can be modified later.
It is possible to switch from Not managed to one of the other two types. This action cannot be reversed and will impact all your existing transactions:
| Active transactions | Items will now be managed according to the new management type chosen. |
| Closed transactions | Items will remain in Not managed mode unless they are restored. If restored, these items will become managed under the new management type chosen. |
- In the menu on the left, choose Items.
- Click on the desired item. A window containing the item’s information opens.
- In the General tab, choose the new inventory management type.
- A warning window appears to confirm the action. Click Yes.
