The Steps tab in a card is used to plan labor time, equipment time, equipment used and steps will be made when passing the card through the value stream.
- In the left menu, choose Planning -> Projects.
- Select a project, click on Cards at the top of the project, select a card, then click on the Steps tab.
- Here are the fields to fill in the Steps tab:
- Determines whether the step is to be done.
- When checked, the step’s planned time will not be multiplied by the card’s batch size.
- Determines whether the card will be exploded after the step. The batch size will equal the number of cards created. So if a card has a lot size of 5, it will be exploded into 5 cards with a lot size of 1.
- Shows the value stream and step title.
- Enter the planned labor time.
- Shows the total lot size multiplied by the planned labor time.
- Enter the planned equipment time.
- Displays the total lot size multiplied by the planned equipment time.
- Upload an instruction file or technical drawing (optional).
- Choose a Workstation (optional). The workstation determines which equipment will be used. If the field is not filled in, any equipment can be used.
- Insert a checklist. To create the list, click on the +, then insert a title and description. The list will need to be checked off before progressing to the next step. You can also add a photo. When the list conforms, the button turns green.
- Determines whether the step is to be done.
