Draft #
When created, an order is in the Draft status.
Changes made to an item’s unit price are automatically reflected in Draft sales orders.
Note: if the unit price has already been manually modified in the sales order, subsequent changes to the item will have no effect on that order.
Note : you cannot assign items to a shipment, schedule releases or add an invoice until the order is in the Open status. While the order is not open, its items also do not appear in the Pick list tab of a shipment.
Possible transitions: quote submitted, opened, canceled.
Quote submitted #
An order in the Draft status can be marked as Quote submitted. To do this, click More Actions -> Quote submitted.
Changes made to an item’s unit price are no longer reflected in the sales order. It is still possible to modify prices directly in the order.
Note : you cannot assign items to a shipment, schedule releases or add an invoice until the order is in the Open status.
Possible transitions: open, canceled.
On hold #
Only an order in the Open status can be put in the On hold status by clicking More Actions -> Hold.
Changes made to an item’s unit price are no longer reflected in the sales order. It is still possible to modify prices directly in the order.
Note : you cannot assign items to a shipment, schedule releases or add an invoice while the order is On hold. Set the order back to Open to perform these actions.
Possible transitions: open, canceled, closed.
Open #
Changes made to an item’s unit price are no longer reflected in the sales order. It is still possible to modify prices directly in the order.
When the order is Open, you can assign items to a shipment, schedule releases and add an invoice. These actions are only available in the Open status.
Possible transitions: pending, canceled, closed.
Closed #
An order in the Open or On hold status can be set to the Closed status. Once the order is closed, it is no longer possible to modify it.
Possible transitions: open.
Canceled #
You can cancel a sales order as long as it is not in the Closed status. Once the order is canceled, it is no longer possible to modify it.
Possible transitions: none.
