There is two ways to enter work time per card in ALIX : manual or automatic. With either choice you can still manually add time in a card when the card is in operations table.
Manual work time #
When a value-added step is set up in manual time, employees need to enter work time every time a card leave a value-added step. The clock allows to round work time by 5 minutes. Work time is not related to how long each card is in a step, but require employees to know how long they worked on each card and for each step.
Automatic work time #
When a value-added step is set up in automatique time, employees do not need to enter their work time. By default, work time is how long each card is in a value-added step. It requires employees to be diligent on when they moove the card. If a card is left in a value-added step even when the employee is not working, work time is still recorded.
