How does list searching work

In several places in ALIX, you can search to filter elements in a list. Here’s an example in the items module:

 

You can choose the desired search mode according to your needs:

Strict search

  • ALIX only looks for results that exactly match the text you wrote.
  • You must type the text as it appears in the grid.

Non-strict search

  • When you type multiple words, each one is taken into account separately.
  • ALIX checks that all these words appear in the results.
  • Example: If you search for “blue white red”, the search will show items that contain blue, white, and red, regardless of the order or where those words appear.

By default, strict search is disabled. To enable it, follow these instructions: Enable strict search in grids.
