Reserve inventories

In a sales order, it is possible to reserve inventories for the items ordered, either manually or automatically.

1. From the menu on the left, choose Sales >Sales orders.
   
2. Click the sales order that you want. The information for this order will appear on the screen.

Reserve manually #

It is possible to choose the inventories to reserve for an item in the sales order. You can reserve several inventories for the same item. The available inventories are those with the status In stock, To receive or Standby (depending on your configuration).

1. In the ordered items section of the sales order, select the desired item.
2. Click Reserve at the top of the list. The reservation window opens.
   
3. Select the desired inventories, or click on Automatic selection. See your total reservations with the total measure reserved at the bottom left of the window.
   

   It is possible to display inventories at zero with this configuration.

   

4. When an inventory is selected, it is possible to edit its measure to reserve.
   
5. Click Add when you are done.
6. Reserved inventories can be viewed by clicking on the reserved quantity.
   

Auto reserve #

This action reserves inventories in the In In stock or Ordered status. If the quantity ordered is greater than the quantity available, cards will be created for manufactured items, and inventories in  the To order status  for purchased items. Inventories will be automatically reserved for sales order when they are manufactured or received.

Note: it is possible to configure the behavior of automatic reservation in relation to inventory conditions.

1. In the Ordered Items section of the sales order, select the items that you want.
   
2. Click More actions at the top of the list, then click Auto reserve.
