Dymo printer

Install coftware on computer #

Important: Please ensure that the Dymo printer and/or Dymo Label software and Connect are not installed on this computer before you begin the procedure. To learn how to uninstall the software, click here.
  1. Download Dymo Connect software at: https://www.dymo.ca/support?cfid=user-guide 
  2. Start the software installation by double-clicking the downloaded file.

  3. Follow the install steps :
    1. Choose your installation language.

    2. Download the following programs (if required).

    3. Click Next.

    4. Accept the terms and conditions and click Next.

    5. Choose your installation location and click Next.

    6. Click Next.

    7. Click Install.

    8. Click Finish to open the software.

  4. After the installation is complete, you should have the active Dymo service on your computer.

 

Connect the printer to the computer #

  1. Connect the power to the printer.
  2. Connect the printer to the computer.
  3. Windows should detect the printer and install it automatically.
  4. Following the installation, you should be able to access your printer in Windows:

 

Test printing in ALIX #

Following the previous steps, test printing in ALIX with one of these methods :

  1. Print a location in warehouse’s configurations :
    selectedImg
  2. Print an inventory in inventory module :
    selectedImg
  3. Print a card in operations module :
    selectedImg

 

Uninstall the software #

  1. Before starting the procedure, make sure to stop the DYMO Label/Connect services.
  2. Open Control Panel from the Windows search bar.
  3. In the Programs section, select Uninstall a program.
  4. Browse the list of programs and select DYMO Label / DYMO Connect.
  5. Click Uninstall.
  6. A restart may be required to uninstall DYMO Connect.
