Zebra printer

Printer installation #

Before beginning this installation, make sure the Zebra printer is connected to your computer and the ribbons and labels have been installed.

1. Open the following link https://www.zebra.com/us/en/support-downloads/printer-software/printer-setup-utilities.html
2. Scroll down to Zebra Printer Setup Utilities for Windows.
3. Click the DOWNLOAD button under the FILES section.
   
   
4. Launch the installer.
5. Click Next.
   
   
6. Accept the terms of use and click Next.
   
   
7. Click Next.
   
   
8. Click Next.
   
   
9. Click Next.
   
10. Confirm that you have read the information and click Next.
    
11. Check the first box to open Zebra Setup Utilities and click Finish.
    
12. Click Install New Printer.
    
13. Click Next.
    
14. Click Install Printer.
    
15. Select your printer model (for the ZD220 choose ZDesigner ZD220-203dpi ZPL) and click Next.
    
    1. If the following interface appears, click Cancel and close Zebra Setup Utilities.
       
16. Open the following link: https://alix-installation-files.s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com/ZebraBrowserPrintSetup-1.2.1.279.exe
17. Start the installation.
18. Click Next.
    
19. Click Next.
    
20. Click Install.
    
21. Once the BrowserPrint installation is complete, open the following link https://localhost:9101/ssl_support
    1. If the following message appears, check that the printer is turned on.
       
    2. Make sure the Zebra Browser Print application is started and appears in the open applications on the taskbar.
       
    3. If you still get the same error message, restart your computer and then start the Zebra Browser Print application.
    4. If the problem persists after all these steps, contact support at support@alix.ai.
22. A security message appears, click Advanced and click Proceed to localhost.
23. The next page is open.
    
24. You can now use your printer in ALIX. Note that on your first impression, a small window will open asking if you https://smart.alix.ai/ allow access to the printer.

Google Chrome: Allow access to the local network #

If you are using Google Chrome, you must enable local network access in the browser settings for ALIX to detect your printer.

1. Open Chrome’s Settings, go to Privacy and security, and then Site settings.
   
2. Click “smart.alix.ai” in Recent Activity, or by clicking View permissions and data stored across sites.
   
3. Find the Local network access and choose Allow.
