Labels

Create/edit a label #

1. In Settings, go to the Definitions -> Labels section.
   
2. Click Create label in the top right, or click the label to view its information.
   
3. Enter the requested information, some additional details are given below :
   1. Name: label name
   2. Entity: determines where the label will be used (inventory, card, address, equipment, tool, location, shipment line item, shipment list). Cannot be changed once created.
   3. Is default: sets the default label. If another default label already exists for the entity, it will be overwritten.
   4. Description: label description
   5. QR size: the pixel dimension of the QR code on the label (for DYMO only).
   6. Configuration: defines the technical rules (e.g. initial configurations, barcode width, etc.) for certain fields to be printed. It is recommended that you ask a developer for any adjustments.
   7. DYMO: contains the XML template that defines the structure and appearance of the label to be printed. You can test the appearance of DYMO labels using the DYMO Label software. For more information, contact support@alix.ai.
   8. ZEBRA: contains the ZPL code that defines the structure and appearance of the label to be printed. You can test how the Zebra labels look here.
      
4. Click Save in the top right corner when you’re done.
